JORDI Gomez is hoping to take his Wembley frustration out on Reading this Friday.
The Spaniard rediscovered his touch from the penalty spot to put Latics in front against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final.
But after Per Mertesacker’s equaliser, he was denied the opportunity to take one in the shoot-out as Arsenal wrapped up their win with a spot-kick to spare.
“I was the fifth penalty taker but it didn’t get to me unfortunately because of the two misses,” reflected Gomez.
“When it goes to penalties you never know what’s going to happen. A lot of it depends on luck.”
Jordi almost ran out of luck during this interview with Paul Kendrick as the team coach nearly set out without him - watch our video of the incident.
