Will Grigg’s incredible year has continued with the Wigan Athletic striker being named in the top 25 players in Europe!

The 25-year-old, who scored 28 goals in Latics’ League One-winning campaign last term, made a big splash at Euro 2016 - despite not kicking a ball for Northern Ireland - when the famous chant bearing his name became the soundtrack of the summer.

Grigg has now been voted equal-25th in UEFA’s ‘Best Player in Europe Award’ - level with Paul Pogba, who is being tipped to make a £100million move to Manchester United this summer.

Journalists from all over Europe were asked to submit their top-five players from the 2015-16 season.

Grigg was one of 37 players to pick up votes in the initial poll, which was whittled down to a top 10, from which the winner will be chosen.
