JORDI Gomez’s magnificent late free-kick rescued another point for Wigan against Middlesbrough.
Four days after Latics came back from the dead against Doncaster, Latics again had to come from behind to ensure honours ended even.
Grant Holt’s early penalty had put Latics ahead, but George Friend equalised before half-time and then Grant Leadbitter put the Teessiders ahead inside the final quarter.
Gomez, though, fired a dramatic leveller after Roger Espinoza had been fouled on the edge of the penalty area.
