WIGAN Athletic have announced their pre-season fixture schedule.
As revealed in yesterday’s Evening Post, Uwe Rosler will take his side to his home country of Germany for a training camp for three games.
This will take place over two separate trips with the team returning home after the first game for fixtures against Walsall and Rochdale before heading back across Europe.
There are no games planned for the DW Stadium.
The players return from holiday to Christopher Park later this month before heading out to Germany for a low-key match against fourth division local team TSV Havelse on July 5.
They will then return to Wigan for a two-week period which will include matches at Leigh Sports Village against League One Walsall on July 11 and away at Rochdale on July 19.
Latics will then travel back to Germany for a second training camp, where they will play matches against 2. Bundesliga outfits Fortuna Düsseldorf 1895 on July 26 and SC Paderborn 07 on August 1.
The team will then fly home, and prepare for the opening game Championship match on August 9.
Meanwhile, newly promoted Scottish side Hamilton have confirmed the signing of Wigan’s Danny Redmond.
The SPL outfit, from which Latics bought James McCarthy and James McArthur, tweeted: “We can confirm we have signed @DannyRedmond from our friends at @LaticsOfficial Danny was on loan here in 2012 scoring 5 goals in 19 games.”
