WIGAN Athletic have confirmed the loan signing of Will Keane until January.
The Manchester United striker was set for the switch last week but picked up an injury while on international duty while with the England Under-21s.
However, the deal has finally been pushed through today and he will be available for selection for the game against Derby County this Sunday.
The 20-year-old endured a rough year last season, missing the entirety through injury.
Owen Coyle has been a big fan of Keane for some time and is delighted to finalise the deal.
“Will is a young man who we’ve been watching for some time and it’s great that we’ve been able to bring him in to strengthen the group,” he said.
“It was important that we bolstered the squad after the departure of Marc Albrighton back to Aston Villa, and for me we’ve done that with a very exciting talent.
“I’m hopeful that the deal can be beneficial for both Wigan Athletic and Manchester United, and of course for Will himself.”
