FOR the fourth time in 12 months, Wigan Athletic fans have taken over Wembley Way.
Thousands of Latics supporters started arriving in the capital this morning before heading to pubs and having a pre-match wander around the famous ground.
Like May 11 last year, there’s a feeling of “what will be will be” with Uwe Rosler’s side massive underdogs but at the same time there’s also an air of optimism and hope as well as a strong dash of belief. This is Latics’ trophy to defend and they don’t want to give it up easily.
Something special happens to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup and with 12 unbeaten games in the competition behind them, fans are hoping it’ll be 13 come 7pm.
Craig Manning, from Gidlow, said: “I’m just here to enjoy the day, whatever happens, happens.
“I think we can do it though. If we can beat City at City, we can beat Arsenal at Wembley – our home from home!”
Paul Burgess, from Appley Bridge, added: “I’m with Craig. Anything is possible with Wigan Athletic.
“We are the FA Cup winners for a reason. I’m going for a Latics win in extra time.”
