LATICS have announced they are to play Real Mallorca in a friendly match at the DW Stadium this Sunday.

The La Liga outfit will provide tough opposition for Roberto Martinez’s men who head into their fifth pre-season game with an unbeaten record.

Mallorca, current club of reported Wigan target Ivan Ramis, are coached by Joaquin Caparros and finished in eighth position last season.

Latics’ final pre-season game will see them travel to Celta Vigo, a week later on August 12.

Martinez said: “Mallorca will represent a really good test as they are on the back of a tremendous second half to the season finishing eighth in La Liga, and (Joaquin) Caparros has developed a really strong side to play against and a very talented team with an exciting future.

“Their defensive record is very impressive and they are a very well balanced group which will present the perfect exercise for both teams in this pre-season.”

Kick-off will be 4pm and entrance to the game is payable on the gate with awdult tickets priced at £1 and concessions £5, with only the Springfield Stand being opened.
