HARRY Maguire admits he’s thoroughly enjoyed his loan spell at Wigan Athletic despite the season ultimately ending in failure.
The Hull centre-back has enjoyed a consistent couple of months at the DW Stadium, slotting into the heart of the defence effortlessly and not missing a game for his new club.

However, as he prepares to make his farewell appearance for Latics at Brentford tomorrow, Maguire admits the way the campaign has ended has left a sour taste in his mouth.
“Losing to Wolves wasn’t the way I wanted to sign off at the DW Stadium,” he told the Evening Post.
“I’ve obviously wanted to come here to play games, but also to try and help keep Wigan in the Championship.
“I’ve played every game since I’ve been here, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The lads and the staff have been brilliant, it’s a great club.
“I obviously keep in touch with how things are going at Hull, and they’ve had a couple of great results in the last week. But all my focus has been on Wigan and doing everything I can to help.”
