HULL City have turned down a bid in the region of £2.5million from Bristol City for ex-Latics centre-back Harry Maguire.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a hugely-successful spell on loan at the DW Stadium last term.
Having joined the club in February, he was unable to prevent Latics suffering relegation to League One.
But his reputation was enhanced by a series of eye-catching performances at the heart of the defence.
His parent club, Hull, also suffered the drop from the Premier League in May, and he looks set to be a major player at the KC Stadium moving forward.
With Steve Bruce having already offloaded a number of defenders this summer – including former Wigan star Maynor Figueroa – it’s no surprise to see the Tigers turning down the advances from the Bristol outfit who will also kick-off next term in the second tier.
