EVERTON striker Conor McAleny has joined Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season - making it a magnificent seven January signings for boss Gary Caldwell.
The 23-year-old becomes the third player to be loaned from Everton this season, following in the footsteps of Francisco Junior and Jonjoe Kenny.
And he follows Yanic Wildschut, Danny Whitehead, Dan Lavercombe, Reece Wabara, Sam Morsy and Ryan Colclough in joining the Latics promotion push this month.
“Conor is someone we were looking at last summer and have been keeping a close eye on him,” said boss Gary Caldwell.
“He’s a young player hungry to prove himself, and we are delighted he will be able to do that with us for the rest of the season.
McAleny has already spent time out on loan at Charlton this term, making eight appearances, and has also spent time at Cardiff, Brentford and Scunthorpe.
