JAMES McClean admits Uwe Rosler’s policy of squad rotation is working wonders at present.
But that doesn’t mean the Latics winger enjoys taking his turn on the bench.
McClean scored twice at Ipswich last weekend as Latics won 3-1 to move up to fifth in the Championship table. However, he was an unused substitute in midweek as Latics shared six goals with Yeovil.
“The games are coming thick and fast, and the gaffer has been making full use of his squad,”McClean told the Evening Post.
“The team has been different every single game, and it’s had to be that way because of the amount of games.
“We all understand where the gaffer is coming from, but as a player you just want to be playing every single week.
“To be fair, the results recently have vindicated the gaffer’s approach.
“We were disappointed not to win against Yeovil, but eight wins in a row prior to that shows he’s getting it right.”
