WIGAN Athletic striker Oriol Riera has, as expected, completed his permanent move to Deportivo La Coruna.
The 28-year-old cost Latics £2million when he joined from Osasuna last summer, but managed only one goal before being loaned out to Depor in January.
He scored four goals in 21 apperarances for the Spanish outfit, helping them to stay up on the last day of the campaign courtesy of a 2-2 draw at Barcelona.
Spanish media are reporting the fee as ‘a small amount’, with Latics left to count the cost of last summer’s catastrophic recruitment drive.
Fellow striker Andy Delort, who cost £3million from Tours FC, is also expected to be offloaded at a massive loss, having spent the second half of last term on loan with his former club in France.
Right-back James Tavernier is also being strongly linked with a move to Rotherham, after being sent out to Bristol City midway through last season.
