WIGAN Athletic have confirmed the exit of several first team players.
Franco Di Santo, Albert Crusat, Adrian Lopez and Ronnie Stam will all leave the club, as will six youngsters including Filip Orsula, Callum Morris and Ryan Watson.
Defensive duo Antolin Alcaraz and Maynor Figueroa were both offered lucrative deals to stay at the DW Stadium earlier in the season but it looks likely they too will head for the exit door, with both linked with a number of Premier League clubs.
However, Emmerson Boyce will be at Latics for the Championship campaign. Although his original contract was up this summer, the number of appearances he has made has triggered an additional year on his deal.
Roman Golobart, who made an impression on the first team last season, has been offered a new deal, while Mike Pollitt is also expected to stay on.
And fresh deals have been offered to 13 youngsters, including first-team squad member Danny Redmond.
DAVE Whelan was today due back from his holiday in Jersey to begin interviewing for a new Latics manager.
Former Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan is the bookies’ favourite to land the job with Owen Coyle, Rene Meulensteen and Steve McClaren also linked.
LATICS have decided to keep the South Stand as reserved seating next season after fans voiced concerns about them becoming unreserved.
