JAMES McClean was singing in the rain after firing Latics into the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Irishman notched his goal for the club - his previous effort had come in the abandoned game at Sheffield Wednesday - to see off Tony Pulis’ charges.
Ben Watson had given Latics a half-time lead against his old club, before substitute Aaron Wilbraham equalised inside the final quarter.
But on a miserable afternoon, cold and wet, Latics just about did enough to earn a spot in the next round, a victory sealed when McClean raced through and slid the ball home.
