WARRIORS head of strength and conditioning Mick Turner and former player Steve Hampson will lead Warrior Workout this Saturday in aid of Joining Jack.
The sessions, held at Central Park on Montrose Avenue, will start this Saturday with two sessions at 8am and 9.30am.
Saturday’s sessions will cost £5 with all proceeds being donated to Joining Jack.
Future sessions will then be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6.30pm and on Saturdays at 8am. They will cost £3.50 to attend and will be open to over-15s.
Turner said: “I am really looking forward to working with people from the local community to help improve fitness levels and really push them onto the next level. Steve and I are going to put people through their paces and ensure we help them reach their potential whilst having some fun too.
“We will help improve fitness but we will also be teaching people correct lifting techniques and movement skills while giving nutritional advice too. These are the first sessions that we are running and we hope to introduce more in the future.”

Wayne Joyce, Wigan Warriors Director of Community & Business Development said: “We are delighted to be launching this outstanding new fitness initiative at Central Park. There are not many fitness classes that give participants the opportunity to be trained by coaches with the experience and profile of Mick and Steve. It’s great for the community and will ultimately help the foundation to expand our range of delivery health and wellbeing initiatives across Wigan.”
