In the Youth Under-17s Division, Shevington visited Golborne Sports and led 2-0 thanks to strikes by Ryan Addison and Nick Vincent. However, Golborne Sports struck back with a vengeance to win 3-2, thanks to goals by Oliver Hibbert, Ciaran Vesey and Nick Tasker.
Billinge Juniors twice came from behind to share the points with Southport Youth at 2-2. Mat Bower and Des Linney were on target for Billinge with Daniel Boden striking a brace for Southport.
Southport Under-18s were too strong for Goose Green and won 4-0 while Apply Bridge were beaten 4-1 at home by Forefield Rangers.
Ashton Town, last season’s champions proved too strong for Billinge Juniors Under-18s and won 10-1.
Ant Smith hit five goals, Brad Gilundy and Boni Nzhenga got two each, while Liam Ratcliffe was also on target. Alex Johnson struck a consolation goal for Billinge.
