LEIGH’S former Wigan forward Gareth Hock has been fined £1,000 for posting inappropriate remarks on Twitter.

Hock, the ex-England international, was found guilty of “conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game” and ruled to be in breach of the RFL’s respect and social media policies.

The punishment relates to comments, which included the use of unacceptable language, made on Twitter in February around the time of a six-match ban imposed for using his knees in the tackle.
