WARRIORS have received a massive boost ahead of the big Super League kick-off with Sam and Joel Tomkins penning new five-year contracts.
Joel, 23, was out of contract at the end of 2011, but 20-year-old Sam had four years remaining on his existing deal. However, with rumours of interest from clubs in both the NRL and rugby union, Warriors have moved swiftly to secure the futures of two of their prized assets.
And Sam insists he would be ‘mad’ to even think about going anywhere else with the future at the DW looking so bright.
He told the Evening Post: “It was a fairly easy decision to make.
“It’s a great place to be at the moment and I’m enjoying myself a lot.
“A load of my best mates are here and, with things going so well on the field, you’d be mad to want to go anywhere else.
