Shaun Wane last night revealed he was leaning towards accepting the Grade B charge levied against the centre.

By taking an early guilty plea, it ensures Gelling will only receive a one-game ban rather than risk two matches if he faces a disciplinary panel tonight.

He was cited for the tackle which saw him sinbinned in Wigan’s 16-10 win at Wakefield on Easter Monday – his 100th game for the club.

Ahead of the milestone occasion, he posted a highlights video – accompanying his own personal rap!

Tonight’s disciplinary panel will hear the cases from both rounds of fixtures over the Easter weekend.

St Helens prop Kyle Amor was charged with a Grade B careless high tackle on Liam Marshall in the derby, which saw him receive an early red card. If Gelling misses Sunday’s match, Liam Forsyth would be expected to switch to the right centre spot, with Joe Burgess taking the place on the left.

Forward Willie Isa, hooker Micky McIlorum and fit-again winger Lewis Tierney are also available for Sunday’s match, while Joel Tomkins is having a knock assessed.

The players had a recovery session yesterday and will return to training tomorrow to begin their preparations. Sunday’s game is being marketed as a family fun-day.
