THE RFL has confirmed that Saturday’s Grand Final will be a total sell out.
It will be the biggest ever attendance the event has had with more than 73,000 people set to make the trip to Old Trafford for Wigan’s clash with Leeds.
Speaking about the news, Super League General Manager Blake Solly, said: “The last few weeks have been a brilliant time for Rugby League in this country. We have seen the League Leaders’ Shield won with the last play of the season, one of the greatest ever semi-final encounters and as a result, a huge surge in demand for tickets.
“I am delighted that there will be a full house to watch the game on Saturday between the two top teams in the Super League this year and I can’t wait to watch what promises to be a great event!”
Fans who are lucky enough to have purchased tickets are reminded to arrive in plenty of time for kick off in order that they can catch the pre-game entertainment which includes live music from The Charlatans and DJ Spoony.
Fans who don’t have a ticket to the game are still able to watch all of the action live on Sky Sports 1 from 5pm or listen to the action on BBC Radio 5Live and BBC Radio 5Live Sports extra.
