Dom Manfredi is set to blast back into the first-team frame this weekend.

The winger, who has scored eight tries from 10 games, has been out for the last four matches with a dislocated toe.

But Shaun Wane hopes the 22-year-old will be fit to play in Sunday’s Challenge Cup match at Dewsbury Rams.

His return would appear to ease some of the injury problems he has faced in recent weeks, although most of his absentees have been forwards.

Incredibly, eight of his ‘starting’ 13 – using squad numbers as a base – were missing from their 40-10 loss at Warrington, including the entire pack.

And one of those players who did feature, prop Tony Clubb, has been ruled out this weekend after accepting a one-match ban for striking with the shoulder.

Clubb, an ever-present this year, risked missing their next Super League match, against Hull FC, if he contested the charge and lost.

Wigan say fans have until 4pm today to buy tickets for the Dewsbury game.
