RYAN Hoffman is refusing to let speculation over his own future distract him from giving his all for Wigan.
The former Australia Test forward is widely expected to re-join former club Melbourne in 2012 after a season at the DW Stadium.
But he insists his full focus is on helping the Warriors to glory.
He said: “At the moment I’m very happy playing for Wigan, I’m enjoying playing for Wigan and that’s where my focus is.”
He underlined his commitment to the cause in Saturday’s 46-12 victory over Huddersfield, when he played on ever after a nasty collision which left him wobbling on his feet. The 27-year-old finished the game with more metres made and more carries than any other Wigan forward.
Media reports Down Under say the Storm are waiting for their forward Adam Blair to complete a move to Wests Tigers before confirming Hoffman’s return.
“I’m a professional rugby league player and my job is to play rugby league,” he added. “Everything else looks after itself. There’s nothing to report at the moment.
“I’m not going to speculate on when decisions are going to be made, because there’s plenty to be getting on with.
“We’ve got some quality opposition up next in Leeds, as well as the Challenge Cup tie against Warrington, and that’s where the focus lies.”
