Song controversy at Grand Final

SATURDAY’S Grand Final at Old Trafford didn’t quite pass without controversy as a crafty DJ played a forbidden song over the PA system.

DJ Spoony, who was performing a set before the game between Leeds and Wigan kicked off, blasted out You’ll Never Walk Alone gaining a somewhat mixed reaction from the crowd.

The song is, of course, famous with Liverpool FC, the arch rivals of Manchester United who play at Old Trafford.

The former Radio One DJ is a huge fan of the Merseyside club and took his chance to anger fans of the Red Devils across the world.

And as news spread and videos went viral, United supporters vented their fury on at the DJ - real name Jonathan Joseph – on social media calling the move “unacceptable”, while Liverpool fans referred to him as a “legend”.
