TAULIMA Tautai wants Wigan to seize their chance to show they are the best team in Super League.
The 2013 double-winners missed out on the World Club Challenge after their Grand Final loss to St Helens last October.
Instead, they have a blockbuster against Brisbane Broncos – one of the biggest names in Australian sport – as part of the expanded World Club Series, which begins tonight (Friday) when Warrington host St George Illawarra.
And off-season recruit Tautai knows a convincing performance against NRL opposition will reverberate around the league-watching world.
He said: “Brisbane are definitely one of the biggest names in Australia, they’re huge. But Wigan are a well-known name as well.
“Everyone knows what Wigan have done in the past and how good they’ve been.
“We want to show to the world what we have here, because we believe we have the best team, certainly in Super League.
“And to have an NRL team coming across a great chance to show that.
“It’s not just an exhibition game for us – we’re treating it like a World Club Challenge, and I think we can rise to the challenge.”
