TEENAGER George Williams could be in the frame for his first Super League debut at London this weekend.
Both Warriors half-backs Blake Green and Matty Smith have been ruled out for a number of weeks and rather than switch the likes of Sam Tomkins and Sean o’Loughlin to six and seven, the Wigan coach wants to call on his younger stars.
“ I would prefer to do that,” said Wane.
“I don’t want to move the team around that much. I want to put a scrum-half in for a scrum-half and a stand-off for a stand-off.
“I’m not into changing that much, people in our team like playing the way they have played. I’m very comfortable giving George Williams his Super League debut.
“Since he played against Leigh, every time we’ve gone out to train, he’s been wanting to get in and play.”
Wane added that Chris Tuson was “touch and go” to play against London, while Jack Hughes is expected to recover from a shoulder injury,
Gil Duson, meanwhile, has been ruled out with a neck problem.
