FA Cup tie date announced

WIGAN Athletic’s FA Cup quarter-final fixture against Everton or Oldham Athletic will take place on Saturday 9 March 2013, with a 12.45pm kick off.

The game will be screened live on ITV as part of the weekend’s cup coverage, with Latics away from home once more and one step away from reaching the semi-final stage for the first time in the club’s history.

Wigan were due to play champions Manchester City at The Etihad Stadium but a date for that fixture has yet to be rearranged.

Everton and Oldham will play their fifth round replay on Tuesday 26 February at Goodison Park, following a 2-2 draw at Boundary Park on Saturday.

Latics meanwhile came through their tie with Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday, running out 4-1 winners to reach the final eight of the competition for the first time since 1987.

Ticket information will be released closer to the match date and once opposition has been confirmed.
