Fig will be Mayn attraction

Maynor Figueroa will inevitably be the centre of attention at Sunderland tomorrow but Roberto Martinez insists it will be 'just another game' for the Wigan left-back.

Latics travel to Wearside for one of the most intriguing Premier League clashes of the weekend, with Steve Bruce and Lee Cattermole lying in wait for their former colleagues.

Figueroa, however, will be firmly in the Wigan camp for the game, after the Black Cats last week finally admitted defeat in a six month-long

pursuit of the Honduran, who instead penned a new deal at the DW Stadium.

Towards the end of the transfer window, Martinez hit out at the 'disgusting' tactics employed by agents to unsettle the player.

However, the Wigan boss insists he will have no qualms whatsoever about fielding Figueroa at the Stadium of Light as Latics look to bounce back from the embarrassing FA Cup exit to Notts County in the week.

Martinez told the Evening Post: "Big players always respond to big occasions. For Maynor, I don't think this game is going to be an especially big occasion. It's just another game for him."
