LATICS striker Franco Di Santo has been called up to the Argentinian national side.
The forward has been picked ahead of the friendly against Saudi Arabia in two week’s time.
It is the first time the 23-year-old has been selected to play for his country and he makes up a star-studded selection of strikers.
As well as the Wigan man, Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella has called up Lionel Messi of Barcelona, Gonzalo Higuain of Real Madrid and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
Di Santo’s chances of featuring are also boosted by the fact Messi could miss the game with the birth of his son due that week.
