Moses will set Premier League alight
Teenage sensation Victor Moses will take Latics and the Premier League by storm – according to his former Crystal Palace pal Emmerson Boyce.
Moses was due to complete the formalities of his move to Wigan just hours before today's 5pm transfer deadline on a three-and-a-half year deal.
The fee of 2.5m represents a snip for a player widely regarded as one of the best young talents in the country.
But Palace are currently in administration and have been forced to accept a figure far below his real value.
And Boyce, who made the same trip from Selhurst Park to Wigan in the summer of 2006, reckons the forward has all the ability to make his mark with the big boys.

Boyce told the Evening Post: "Victor was coming through the ranks while I was at Palace and I know what a very, very talented young player he is.
"Although he was very young, everyone was already talking about him when I was there, because he'd already broken into the England junior teams.
"I remember a lot of clubs were after him when he was around 16, and Palace actually did very well to get him.
"He's big and strong but is also very much a flair player, very skillful, and he certainly knows where the goal is.
"He's equally good on his left and right foot, and he scores all types of goals.
"He can also create something out of nothing, which is what you need in the Premier League.
"He has been playing so well for Palace this season and hopefully he can bring his goals here and show everyone in the Premier League how good he is.
"Obviously he'll have to step up to play in the Premier League, but if we can get the best out of him I'm sure he'll prove to be a great signing."
Moses has scored six goals in his last nine matches, and had been interesting Newcastle, West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest before Latics made their move.
The 19-year-old came close to joining Latics in the last transfer window only for the deal to fall through, and Palace boss Neil Warnock believes Wigan have got themselves a real bargain second time round.
Warnock said: "I've spoken to a lot of managers over the last six months, and one of the managers who should have taken him in the last window has come to his senses.
"I expect to see Victor do very well in the Premier League, and I'm looking forward to watching."
Martinez was also busy scouring the market for striking reinforcements ahead of the deadline, having watched Latics again fire a blank in
the 1-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday.
Wigan's attempts to land Villarreal hitman Marco Ruben were dashed because of a disagreement over payments.
But still on the list of possible targets were believed to be Scott McDonald of Celtic, Rangers striker Kris Boyd and former Latics favourite Jason Roberts, now with Blackburn.
