No place for Amos in squad

AMOS Roberts has been squeezed out of the reckoning for Wigan’s game tomorrow against Bradford.

Coach Michael Maguire has kept faith with youngsters Josh Charnley and Stefan Marsh and opted to leave Roberts out of his squad instead.

The Aussie is still trying to get back to his best after a knee injury.

Martin Gleeson, George Carmont, Paul Prescott and Mike McIlorum are all included after overcoming injuries, while Stuart Fielden is back in contention after a suspension.

Bradford’s Steve Menzies has returned from a trip Down Under, following the birth of his child, to play in the match.

Wigan’s 19 man squad: Gleeson, Carmont, Richards, S Tomkins, Leuluai, Fielden, Riddell, Coley, J Tomkins, O’Loughlin, Prescott, McIlorum, Paleaaesina, Deacon, Goulding, Farrell, Marsh, Tuson, Charnley.

Bradford’s 19-man squad:Kearney, Reardon, L’Estrange, Hall, Lynch, Sheriffe, Scruton, Finigan, Kopczak, Olbison, Menzies, Addy, Godwin, Crookes, Sykes, Whitehead, Worrincy, Langley, Platt.

Salford have finally confirmed the signing of Wigan overseas duo Iafeta Paleaaesina and Phil Bailey for 2011.

Prop Paleaaesina, 28, has signed a three-year contract while second rower Bailey, 30, has penned a two-year deal.

EX-Warriors winger Liam Colbon has signed a new one-year deal with Hull KR.
