Trent Barrett is ready to play through the pain barrier.
The pivotal Australian half-back has revealed an old injury from his playing days at St George-Illawarra has flared up and is in need of regular physiotherapy.

But Warriors' talisman is determined to grit his teeth and give his all as his time at the club comes to a close.
Barrett said: "It's a nerve problem running from my lower back into the top of the hamstring at the back of my leg.
"It's an old injury that's come back. I must be getting old.
"It needs treatment, but it's not going to stop me playing."

The former Test stand-off was forced to miss the Catalans and Wakefield games last month, but returned to face Leeds at the JJB Stadium 12 days ago.

The 52-16 defeat means Warriors have probably played their last home game of the season.
They have to beat St Helens at Knowsley Road on Friday and then need Warrington to lose at home to Huddersfield the day after to snatch fourth place and earn a home tie in the play-offs.

In fact, Warriors are more likely to slip a position as sixth-placed Bradford are only two points away with a far superior points difference, and they host bottom club Castleford in their final game.
Barrett said: "It's a big ask to finish fourth, but we really want to beat St Helens.

"We've only managed one win against them in the two years I've been
here and I want another."
Barrett admits he's going to miss the JJB once he's gone to NRL side Cronulla Sharks.

After the Leeds game, he was joined on the pitch after the game by his
two children while his pregnant wife was in the stands.
He and the other departing players – Micky Higham and Mark Calderwood – were given a rousing send-off.

Agreed; any player who even hints he doesn't want to stay should be shown the door immediately. He has only played well in a very few games this season and has been DIRE against the Stains. Tommy L also has a better game when TB is not on the pitch.

noooo barrett dont play injured, let tim smith play his own game, Tommy L is a million times better when Trent isnt on the pitch!

Trent, ur a good player mate n I wish you all the luck in the world when you go back down under, but saints is a crucial match, and we need to halfbacks working together as opposed to one fit, one injured halfback working against one another
