The quest for success still burns brightly for departing Warrior Mark Calderwood.
And his over-riding ambition is to step away from Wigan clutching a Grand Final winner's medal.
The former Leeds Rhinos flier is, at the most, only three games away from saying his farewells after three seasons at the JJB Stadium.

But he plans to make the most of it, starting with the big clash against Catalans in France tomorrow night, a must-win game for Warriors if ever there was one.

Calderwood emerged as one of the heroes during the play-offs at the end of last season and events so far this year seem to be following a strikingly similar pattern.

The England winger swooped for a spectacular hat-trick in an amazing comeback game at Bradford last year and followed this up with a try of his own and another laid on for team-mate Joel Tomkins against the
same Bulls side at Widnes last weekend.

He is is the frame to start the game in Perpignan and is keen to see the side make progress, even though his career at Wigan is drawing to a close.

And in another unselfish act, Calderwood is prepared to put his personal ambitions to one side in return for team success with Wigan in this his final season.

The Warriors winger was top of the Super League try-scoring charts with Leeds Rhinos when he was recruited by Wigan at the start of 2006.
Along with current Wigan stablemate Richard Mathers, he had been a Grand Final winner in 2004.

But despite qualifying for two major finals in 2006, Rhinos ended up with no silverware that season and Calderwood doesn't want to see a similar dose of disappointment for him and his team-mates at the JJB Stadium in 2008.
