Calders leaves on a high

Mark Calderwood has wished the Wigan players every success in the future after playing his last game for the club.
And what a last game it was. The winger walked off Headingley with the man-of-the-match award after a magnificent show against Leeds.
The England flier, who has been deemed surplus to requirements next season, saved four touchdowns on his own try-line with heroics over and above the call of duty.
But his efforts weren't enough to prevent Warriors crashing out of the Super League play-offs just 80 agonising minutes away from Grand Final glory as Wigan lost 18-14 on Friday, leaving Rhinos to meet St Helens at Old Trafford on Saturday in a repeat of last season's finale.
Calderwood said he would have given up a dozen personal awards in exchange for safe passage through to Super league's showpiece event.
He said: "Individual awards like this don't mean a lot when you lose. To win with Wigan would have meant much more to me, but it wasn't to be.
"And while we feel very let down, Leeds threw attack after attack at us, especially in that second half and we all had to do an awful lot of defending.
"At the end of the day, I think we appreciated Rhinos were the better team on this occasion.
"All the Wigan guys put in a real big effort and I think we can all feel pretty proud even though we lost.
"We've had some good wins at Headingley this last couple of seasons, but Leeds have been a bit of a jinx side for us in the games that have mattered the most."
