Ian Lenagan believes that Wigan have the beating of Leeds tomorrow night.
The Warriors' chairman has urged his players to keep their cool and not to go out at the JJB Stadium hell-bent on a revenge mission.

Lenagan admits Warriors are still smarting after Rhinos knocked them off the Challenge Cup trail in a tight quarter-final clash at Headingley at the end of May.

But he argues that controlled, disciplined rugby is the key to beating the Super League champions whose crown has slipped over the last few weeks.

Prior to beating Castleford 18-12 last weekend, Leeds had suffered consecutive losses at the hands of St Helens and Harlequins, cutting their lead at the top to just two points.

Lenagan said: "Recent results have shown us that Leeds aren't invincible and the 23-16 scoreline when we lost to them in the Challenge Cup earlier this season probably wasn't a fair reflection on how close we got to them that day.

"But tomorrow night's game shouldn't be regarded as a revenge mission for that one defeat.

"We need to be smarter than that and play good, controlled rugby league.
"We have already won at Headingley this year (14-10 in April) and deep down I think we all know that we have the beating of Leeds."

I'm just looking foprward to a decent crowd, recent crowds have been down on last year by my estimation. We need Richards fit or we're in trouble.

In my experience Wigan fans have turned out to back their side when the chips are down more than when they are winning. Can see Leeds winning this one with the Test players back though.

ste. i agree with you... neil i agree with you too. but i dont think we will get a good crowd as last year. supporters are getting tired now. inconsistency and patchy efforts are leaving people disgruntled. add to that the games on sky and some people are being thrifty with their cash i think we will be down a couple of thousand on last term. hope im wrong on both accounts

Should be a good battle again. Nobby will have the boys well drilled and up for this game. If Pat is out will Phelps fill in at full-back? Not Vennesa Phelps Ste! She is packing down in the front row for the wire!

FatFeka is out, so the front row defence will improve. Bailey is out, will anyone notice?
Get some wigganers out there!
