Aussie goalkicking ace Pat Richards is the
latest player to be added to a considerable casualty list at Wigan Warriors.
Arguably Wigan's most consistently reliable performer this season pulled up lame during the latter stages of the 38-20 win over Harlequins on Friday.

Richards stretched a hamstring trying to run down breakaway Quins centre Tony Clubb and faces a battle to fit for the crucial clash with Rhinos on Friday.

Prop Iafeta Palea'aesina is also in need of intensive daily treatment after limping off the JJB Stadium near the end. The big Kiwi went over on an ankle and will spend most of this week in the treatment room.

Phil Bailey – who missed the game with a pulled hamstring – has already been ruled out, while fellow absentees Paul Prescott and Richard Mathers are still battling back and thigh injuries respectively.

The only snippet of good news to emerge is that Cameron Phelps looks set to recover from the bang to his face that broke his nose and knocked him unconscious.

thats all we need to hear, the only line of defense we can rely upon. i bet rob burrows cant wait. mathers is out also that means we have no full back. mathers is in and we still have no full back...wheres kris radlinski. hey kris do you fancy a game?

I dont know whats worse news for Wigan. Nobody who can kick goals or having Mathers at full back? Both are bad news.

we now have a problem on friday, as we have had a build up of injuries in the last few matches. Especially to key players who have been playing well especially Pat Richards. Maybe I could come down on friday and kick a few goals. Ha! Ha!. What about Tommy . I thought he could kick goals, as he was being considered at one time. good luck for friday.
