A WIGAN pop band who have performed with McFly are hoping to do so again.
Boomin are one of hundreds of bands from across the country hoping to become a support act for McFly on their 2012 tour.
Having already shared the stage with them once before, the four lads believe they have a good chance of bagging the coveted prize.
The trio are now urging local fans to get their online votes in and shift them from their current position of 11 to the top spot.
Singer and bassist Rory O’Grady said: “We entered the competition because its great exposure, we respect Mcfly as a pop band and think we could support them.
“We won’t win the competition with the most votes, all that matters is being in that top 50 by the end. It would give us another great platform to get the break we need.”
Voting is open until January 12 and McFly will then pick 26 bands from the 50 with the most votes, to support them on each night of their tour.
