A WIGAN metal band will feature an actor who has appeared in some of cinema’s most terrifying films on their latest album of dark, melodic music.
Gothic-influenced metallers Sinnergod called on the services of Bill Moseley, whose work includes appearances in Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Devil’s Rejects, to perform on the intro track of their new concept album about the seven deadly sins.
Bill recorded his contribution to the album, which is currently titled The Seven Deadly Sinphonies, at a studio in California.
The band is hoping their new work will be finished in time for a Halloween release, and says fans of the band can look forward to a few musical surprises and more guest appearances.
Drummer Chris Hampson said: “Bill’s a really nice guy and told us he was very excited about appearing on our album and enjoyed our music.
“I think the new album is more like older Sinnergod, it’s both more melodic and heavier than our last album.”
The band’s fans can get a sneak peek at the group working on the new songs in a studio teaser available on Youtube.
The new album will be launched at The Tudor on November 1, with support from Soldierfield, including ex-members of Paradise Lost and Blaze Bayley’s band.
A new single with a music video will be released in October.
