FOR A Me B, 2012 is going to be a bumper of a year.
The 19-year-old rapper has kicked off January by releasing the official video for her single Outcast.
Filmed at Victoria Baths in Manchester, A Me B whose real name is Amy Burns worked with producers Video Ink to come up with a unique, dark and edgy video.
Amy said: “We filmed from 7am until five o’clock in the evening.
“It was a long day but was great fun, I love the end product.
“It’s something that is quite different and I feel it looks professional and has had loads of positive feedback so far.
Before we filmed, we all had a meeting and bounced ideas of one another.
“Then the producers came up with a storyline and a detailed schedule of how it would be filmed.
“I really enjoyed it and loved being in front of the camera.
“Everyone else who was involved in the day was great company too and there was just a positive vibe throughout the whole day.”
Amy has caught the filming bug and plans to release a new video every month until the year is out.
The videos will accompany songs off her latest mixtape called Ups and Downs.
Amy added: “This year will mean a lot of work, but it will make me get used to being in front of the camera.
“The monthly videos will be videos of the songs off my new mixtape and will each be a part of a mini-campaign.
“By releasing a video each month, it gives me the chance to be consistent and stay fresh in people’s minds.”
Amy’s new mixtape will be free - a chance to give something back to her fans and all those who have supported her since her quest for the limelight began.
Amy said: “My mixtape will be released later this year, it’s similar to an album but is a little bit more.
“I will be releasing singles this year, but they won’t be off the mixtape, they will be separate tracks.”
Amy is just waiting to find out which music channels her video will appear on but for now, it can be viewed on Youtube or her website, www.ameb.co.uk.
