STATESIDE sisters Larkin Poe are bringing the sounds of Georgia to Wigan this summer.
The folk rockers will play at Wigan’s All Saints Parish Church as part of the monthly Acoustic Roots concerts.
The band fronted by Rebecca and Megan Lovell hail from Atlanta and promise an evening of diverse and wide-ranging music, featuring tight vocal harmonies and dizzying instrumental riffs.
Originally the Lovell Sisters, Rebecca and Megan reformed as Larkin Poe in 2010 and this led to extensive touring across the United States and Europe. In November 2011, Larkin Poe acted as the touring band for Elvis Costello and this performance coincides with the band’s release of their fifth EP, Thick as Thieves.
Originally comprising three sisters – Jessica, Rebecca and Megan, The Lovell Sisters gained their first US breakthrough in 2005 after winning a top US radio talent show, and soon became an much=acclaimed act.
