There's free Festive Family Fun at Whitley Methodist Church off Spencer Road on Saturday, December 5, from 11am to 3pm.
The church parishioners say that they are seeking to share the Joy of Christmas with the local community by inviting them to a family day out.
Admission will be free, as will the games and one go on the tombola.
Visitors will be asked to make a don
ation towards the cost of their lunch and extra crisps and drinks can be bought.
There will also be stalls selling homemade cakes, plus archery, side shows, plants and charity Christmas cards, the Rock Bus and Santa.
Care schemefestive fairThe Eliot Gardens extra care scheme for over-55s with learning difficulties will hold a Christmas fair on
December 2.
The event – which runs from 2pm to 4pm at the centre in Eliot Drive, Worsley Mesnes – will feature well known high street names such as Body Shop and Thorntons alongside other stalls, a tombola and raffle.
It will raise money for the residents' social fund and the admission price is 20p.
