A healing centre will be transformed into a winter wonderland in December to raise money for a children's charity.
Carol-Anne Fraser, the owner and a resident therapist at Inglewood Healing Centre in Orrell, has launched the Angel For A Life appeal to raise funds for children's hospice Derian House.
Situated in seven acres of woodland, the centre will be surrounded by 900 fairy lights, which will be joined by glass angels and messages of love from people donating to the appeal.
Carol-Anne said: "We deal with lots of people who have problems, both spiritual and emotional, and help people who are in pain or who are grieving after the loss of a loved one.
"We decided we wanted to do something more by raising this money for charity and Derian House is a charity that I love. They do so much, it is just giving something back."
For every £5 donation made to the appeal, the donor will be given a glass angel and a key fob which can hold a hand-written message.
Each individual will then be invited to hang their angel and message next to one of the fairy lights, donated by the lighting company Festive Lights, ahead of the big switch-on, due to take place on December 1.
Carol-Anne said: "Their message could be about a birth or it could be for someone who has passed, but it doesn't have to be. Our only condition is that it must be a message of love."
When the lights are switched on, the woodland surrounding the healing centre will be transformed into a winter wonderland. They will stay lit day and night until Monday, January 5.
The decision to support Derian House was supported by all 11 of the healing centre's therapists, who came up with the idea for the appeal at one of their monthly meetings.
Carol-Anne said: "Derian House is such a worthwhile cause and they rely on outside funding to keep afloat. We wanted to raise the money for them."
To donate to the appeal and hang your own angel call Carol-Anne on 01942 224526 or 07768 475195. Larger donations and donations from companies will also be accepted.
