A Wigan man has admitted assaulting another man.
John Holker had been due to face trial on Monday at Liverpool Crown Court, accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm, but instead he admitted common assault.
The more serious charge is to be dropped.

The 43-year-old of Hanover Road, Hindley, will be sentenced on Friday.
Judge David Boulton told Holker, who has three previous convictions for assault, that he would not receive a custodial sentence.
