A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with an incident in which two Wigan beat bobbies were injured.
Paul Daven, from St Paul's Avenue, Goose Green, has been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, attempted wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving a car without insurance and criminal damage. Daven is due before Wigan Magistrates' Court today (Monday).

A 32-year-old woman, who was arrested on suspicion of assault and assisting an offender, has been bailed until April 23.
It is alleged that at about 6.40pm on Thursday January 17, a black Ford Mondeo reversed into two police officers as they were standing on Cornwallis Road.

One of the officers was knocked over and the other was dragged along the road. Both are recovering at home from their injuries.
