A Wigan man has sent a defiant message to racist yobs who have tormented him for five years.
Shah Khan, 62, moved to Wigan from his native North East 25 years ago and had no problems until he moved into a bungalow on Yewdale Road in the Landgate area of Bryn five years ago.

Since then, he has been written to 18 times in five years by Victim Support and gone to court on three separate occasions to prosecute six of his abusers.
He says he has reported countless crimes and incidents to the police, many apparently racially motivated – but still he is being verbally attacked.

One youth on the estate was recently ordered by the court to stay away from Mr Khan for 12 months after spitting at and abusing him.
In the past five years the yobs have:

Made death threats.
Hurled racist comments.
Spat at him.
Vandalised his house.
Vandalised his car.
Spread malicious rumours that he was a paedophile.
Made threats against his pet dog.

Despite the horrifying levels of abuse and vandalism Mr Khan has vowed not to let the yobs drive him out of his home.
He said: "Since I moved in here I have had nothing but threats and abuse. I've been asked if I would like to move but I am determined not to.
