The death of a woman who was found at her home with a stab wound is no longer being treated as suspicious.
A post mortem examination has concluded that Pauline Rigby of Rutland Road, Tyldesley, died from the wound.
But a 58-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday has now been released without charge and the case will now be passed to the coroner.

Mrs Rigby, 55, was married to Barry and had two sons and two daughters. Mrs Rigby's nephew Lee Smith was among the first people to place flowers outside her home.
Lee, who lives in Atherton, said: "She was a caring, loving aunt; we are all absolutely devastated by this. Pauline had a big family, we will miss her so much."

A Rutland Road resident said: "I've lived on the street for 55 years, I've known Pauline ever since she came to live here. She was a lovely woman and nice to everyone, she will be missed."
Another neighbour said: "Whenever I saw Pauline she was always very pleasant. It's a terrible tragedy."
