A teenage boy who was seriously injured in a collision with a taxi has died.
Christian Willis, from Skelmersdale, died in hospital at 4pm last Friday as a result of his injuries.
The 14-year-old was crossing Houghtons Road in Skelmerdale last Thursday afternoon when he was involved in a collision with a private hire taxi, later identified as a red Skoda Octavia.

He suffered a fractured skull and injuries to his shoulders, arms and legs and was taken to Ormskirk Hospital before being transferred to Alder Hey children's in Liverpool where he died.

Today Rosie Cooper, MP for West Lancashire, called for an urgent meeting with council members to discuss Christian's death.
Ms Cooper said: "It is the second time in four years that a teenager has died on that stretch of road and, although the circumstances were different, it still raises some serious questions about road safety."

A police investigation into the incident is ongoing and any witnesses are asked to contact PS Dave Tonge on 01695 566486.
