When the pandemic struck it made me a little anxious of being out and about, but I managed to keep safe, keep well and keep working, so I could witness and capture the events of this unprecedented pandemic year.

The first day of national lockdown. Wigan town centre was quite busy with people queuing for banks.

The first day of lockdown and I was anxious about being out and about. I wore a scarf over my face (face coverings weren't mandatory) as I took pictures of Wigan town centre.

Local singer Pat Masterson entertains residents from the car park at Ambleside Bank care home, Ince, just a few days into the first national lockdown. I remember at this time there was so much uncertainty, it was lovely to capture moments like this.
