Lisa Tarbuck said: I want to nominate my carer Lisa. She needs a shout out because she assists me to live independently and I want to show that not all disabilities are obvious to see.

Mel Gornall said: My name is Mel and I've been isolating since the beginning of lockdown, my support workers Wendy Smith, linda Campbell and Karen Caton from Carechoice Northwest organised a tea party on our lawns and also organised a singer to come and sing for us to build our spirits up I loved what they did for us. I have the best support workers anyone can have, they will do anything for anyone they are so caring, I would also like to say a big thank you to my other support workers Tracey Weedall, Katie Green and Aimee Marsden they all do a fantastic job and are 1 in a million. Thank you Carechoice Staff and Shauna Jade

WIGAN - CARERS WEEK THANKS FB
Jenna Tilley said: I would like to nominate Christine Edge, she is a carer at Cardinal Heenan House. All through lockdown shes been keeping families updated by providing FaceTimes and Skype calls, shes so loving and caring and keeps all of the residents minds active by encouraging them to play games and be creative. Shes been looking after my great grandma for a few years now but every time I have visited the home, I can see how much she loves the residents and she treats everyone like her own family.
