A sporting tribute to Harrison
The Harrison Ledsham Memorial took place at Blackbrook Rugby Club, in St Helens, as a special tribute to the 12-year-old from Haydock.
The event was organised by Harrison’s best friend, Mackenzie Maddison, with support from his mum Beverley.

Beverley, of Haydock, said: “The event was fantastic. It was a bit emotional when Harrison’s team at Blackbrook played their match. A bunch of flowers with a nice verse and a rugby ball was placed on the centre of the pitch before a one minute’s silence.
“The rest of the day was very high spirited and everyone had fun. Harrison’s mum, Karen, put on Facebook that Harrison would have loved the event, which means a lot.”
The festivities also included a bouncy castle, stalls and a raffle.
