Inquest opens into death of Wigan teenager at centre of murder probe

The body of 18-year-old Samson Price was found in the waters of Westwood Flash on the afternoon of Sunday, October 4, after concern for his welfare had been raised over his failure to return from a fishing trip the day before.
The incident is at the centre of a murder probe, and detectives had arrested three men, aged 17, 18 and 19, after Samson's death.

Hide AdThe two older men have now been released on bail by the police, while the younger was released under investigation.
Today, October 14, at Bolton Coroners Court, Coroner Alan Walsh will open proceedings before adjourning the full hearing until a later date, pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
